About Trinity

Trinity (Melelani) Villanueva is a vocalist, pianist, ukulelist, and Polynesian dancer whose career spans over three decades across Broadway stages, cruise ships, and global creative companies. A graduate of Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, she draws on her classical training, the Latin rhythms of her Puerto Rican roots, and the ancestral traditions of her Hawaiian heritage. Her musical career spans lūʻau entertainment, jazz/soul, hip hop, cross-cultural collaborations, even hosting an Emmy-award winning television show—all anchored by her lifelong dedication to the arts.

Trinity is the founder of Trin’s Music and holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania; she is currently pursuing her MBA to expand her impact as both an artist and entrepreneur. She has coached Paramount Global writers’ rooms, led leaders through equity and cultural work at RollingStone, trained docents at the Phillips Collection on language justice, co-curated cultural exhibitions at several Smithsonian Institutions, and co-developed creative wellbeing programs for leaders at Google and Apple.

She gives back by mentoring/advising for organizations such as the Strathmore Arts Center and the National Art Education Association. Rooted in her cultural practices, Trinity is also an ‘oli and ‘ōlelo student in Moloka‘i and continues her shamanic island learnings. Proficient in multiple languages and celebrated for her engaging stage presence, she invites every audience—whether in classrooms, boardrooms, or concert halls—into experiences of joy, healing, and connection. Of all her roles, she treasures most being a mother to her musician son, Kai.

Trinity is a visionary, thoughtful, and caring leader whose focus is on bring people and communities together…[her] work has a life-changing positive impact on the people she comes in contact with…

Nicolas, Library of Congress, DC

Trinity designed a transformative three-day retreat that delivered exactly what we needed: inner balance amid outer chaos. Woven throughout was time for personal reflection, nature connection, ritual, rest, and creativity. The experience was deeply nourishing--purposeful, generative, and unexpectedly joyful.

Sheila, Nonprofit Professional, Maryland

There's something really special about when she sings. It's almost healing.

Marcus, Physician, Michigan

Trinity has been my lifeline, especially on the days where I need a sounding board.

Tonya, Penske Media Group, NYC (RollingStone, Golden Globe Awards)

I’m beside myself with glee over the insights gained from one session…after so many therapy sessions that sort of skirted around some of this stuff and left me feeling disjointed.

Alison, Harvard University

Because of Trinity's ukulele classes on board, I felt compelled to purchase one in Hawaii. She made us comfortable and we learned how to play 3 songs from scratch in 5 days!!!

Jack, Cruiser, Koningsdam (Holland America Line)

Thank you again, you really radiate a special energy and aura to open these conversations, and to make us feel so comfortable when we're having them.

Steph, Television Writer

I don't know how you did it, that CV was impossible. Thank you again! You did an amazing job. I greatly appreciate you!

Leslie, Arts professor, Tampa

Since you helped me re-do my resume and interview prep, I have had a record year for getting interviews! I don't think my resume would be going to the top like this without your help to make it exude more confidence!

Elizabeth, arts curator, City of Denver
